Innoscience persuades Patent Trial and Appeal Board to review Efficient Power Conversion patent

( March 20, 2024, 10:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: In instituting inter partes review, IPR, of a patent directed to a low gate leakage gallium nitride, or GaN, transistor, the US Patent and Trademark Office Patent Trial and Appeal Board said that China’s Innoscience (Zhuhai) Technology demonstrated it will likely prevail with regard to at least one challenged claim.  The board focused heavily on a prior art reference that allegedly disclosed transistors that incorporate nitride-based active layers two years earlier than the priority date of Efficient Power Conversion's US Patent No. 8,350,294.See attached document....
