Access Advance, Dolby, HP see confidentiality requests granted by UPC in Düsseldorf

( July 30, 2024, 11:12 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Dolby and its intervener, Access Advance, have successfully obtained confidentiality protections from the Unified Patent Court in Düsseldorf for sensitive licensing documents essential to Dolby’s response to HP’s counterclaim. Access Advance, which is managing a patent pool that includes Dolby’s patents, had filed a formal request with the UPC under Rule 262A, to protect its sensitive information in the same way that HP’s confidential materials are safeguarded. The UPC’s order restricts access to these documents to specific representatives, ensuring strict confidentiality for both sides' sensitive information.Court document attached (in German)....
