Slovak fiber-on-power-poles sector inquiry continues; watchdog seeks more feedback

( November 8, 2024, 10:12 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Slovak competition authority has said that a sector inquiry it recently opened — into the construction of optical networks on power poles and access to them — is still ongoing. From preliminary findings, it appears there is scope to work toward more competition in the area of access to infrastructure, information for operators and in the area of fees for certain services for operators, to ensure lower prices, better quality and more choice for consumers. The main goal is to ensure that operators have access to infrastructure and newly built networks on fair, reasonable, transparent and non-discriminatory terms.
