Businessman pleads guilty in US to scheme to export semiconductors to Russian defense supplier

( November 7, 2024, 21:51 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Ilya Khan, a businessman with citizenship in the US, Israel and Russia, has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to violate the Export Control Reform Act over his role in a scheme to secure and export dual-use semiconductors and other sensitive technology to Elvees, a Russian developer of microchips sanctioned by the US government for contributing to the country's security services, military and defense sectors. Kahn also pleaded guilty to attempted tax evasion for failing to pay taxes on the illicit income he earned from the scheme, the US Department of Justice said.Statement follows below.
