Judge ponders relevance of Google executives' wealth in Texas antitrust claims

Among the issues confronting Judge Sean Jordan is whether the personal wealth of Google executives, including a $100 million payment to a former DoubleClick executive, should be heard by a jury. Google has argued that allowing a discussion about the executives’ wealth to be aired in court could lead to a “Robin Hood mentality to find liability.”Google told a federal judge today that antitrust and consumer-protection lawsuits brought by Texas and 16 other states shouldn’t include evidence about the personal wealth of Google executives such as co-founder Sergey Brin and former DoubleClick executive Neal Mohan....
