US Soccer, MLS seek to exclude evidence in antitrust trial over league standards

( November 4, 2024, 23:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex summary: The US Soccer Federation and Major League Soccer asked a judge to preclude testimony from a top North American Soccer League legal officer, testimony from former New York Cosmos players and other evidence during an upcoming antitrust trial over claims brought by NASL. The defendants also sought to exclude evidence and argument concerning US Soccer corporate governance topics, prior litigation and and investigations into women’s soccer and MLS “expansion fees,” according to a memo supporting their motions in limine filed in the Eastern District of New York.     See attached file....
