Realtek opposes sanctions, dismissal of US antitrust suit over patent fights

( November 1, 2024, 20:29 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Realtek told a California federal judge it should not be sanctioned for "simply disagreeing with one of the arguments its adversary raises," and its antitrust case against MediaTek over alleged sham patent litigation should not be dismissed based on an "invented" legal doctrine. MediaTek's Rule 11 motion fails to identify any sanctionable conduct and the licensing decisions of third parties have no bearing on the sufficiency sham litigation claims, Realtek said in an opposition briefing filed in the Northern District of California.See attached file....
