Microsoft says delaying injunction against Google Play will spur 'immediate harm'

Late Friday, Microsoft asked to submit an amicus brief in Google’s antitrust dispute with Epic Games before the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, where Google is pursuing an appeal of the injunction and a jury verdict finding that the Play Store operator’s practices violated antitrust laws. Accepting Google’s request for a stay of a court-ordered injunction requiring it to open up its Play Store to competition would “cause immediate harm by blocking an innovative app that Microsoft will be ready to launch in weeks,” Microsoft told a US federal appeals court....
