Sandoz wins UK bid to invalidate Biogen’s brain infection risk-assessment method patent

Biogen claimed Sandoz challenged the patented method to clear the way for the launch of a planned biosimilar to Tysabri, Biogen’s flagship MS drug.A European patent owned by US drugmaker Biogen which assesses the risk of developing progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy, or PML, was declared “plainly invalid” by the UK High Court today....
