Broadcom says Samsung's US tying claims foreclosed by statute of limitations

( November 4, 2024, 18:05 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Broadcom told a US federal judge that Samsung's anticompetitive tying claims over smartphone components are foreclosed by the statute of limitations. Samsung also fails to plead antitrust injury or harm to competition, Broadcom said in a reply supporting its motion to dismiss the complaint. Samsung has failed to plead any unlawful exclusive dealing, or a tying arrangement by Broadcom, which did not preclude the Korean device maker from securing alternative supply before, during or after the companies entered into a six-month commercial contract for the components, the filing said.See attached file....
