Epic Games, Apple continue to battle over discovery in US injunction-compliance dispute

( November 1, 2024, 00:39 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Epic Games told a US magistrate judge overseeing discovery matters for their antitrust fight that its dispute with Apple over the smartphone maker's privilege claims on documents is "ripe for adjudication." In a joint status report submitted with Apple to US Magistrate Judge Thomas S. Hixson, Epic said Apple is seeking to claw back 135 documents on the basis of privilege claims and that Apple continues to make additional productions of documents. Meanwhile, Apple argued that discovery "is complete" and that it has complied with the a federal court's order to produce all documents related to its decision-making process for complying an injunction over its anti-steering rules. "Epic continues to suggest — without any evidence — that Apple has withheld responsive, non-privileged documents," Apple said.  See court document. ...
