Deckers broke UK competition rules in dispute over running shoes, court rules

( October 31, 2024, 17:47 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Deckers, a sports shoe supplier, infringed competition rules and is liable to pay retailer Up & Running damages, a specialized UK court said today, in a dispute between the two parties over restrictions on the sale of products. The Competition Appeal Tribunal judgment said Up and Running had suffered a loss and that a separate trial will decide the size of the damages. Deckers, owner of the Hoka running shoe brand, was targeted by a claim from Up and Running late last year. It claimed Deckers UK stopped it from selling Hoka shoes online following a disagreement over selling tactics due to reduced business activity during the Covid-19 pandemic.Judgment is attached....
