Water carbonator SodaStream wins injunction against Aarke for patent infringement at UPC

( October 31, 2024, 12:35 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A Court of First Instance of the Unified Patent Court’s Düsseldorf Local Division has ruled that Swedish company Aarke AB infringed on European Patent 1,793,917 held by SodaStream GmbH in its water carbonator product marketed in Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy and Sweden. The court ordered Aarke to cease and desist from manufacturing and marketing the infringing device, pay penalties and interim damages and disclose information on the infringing activities that have taken place since 2010. Enforcement will proceed once SodaStream notifies the court of the specific orders it intends to enforce and provides certified translations for the order in relevant jurisdictions.See court document attached....
