Clearview AI faces new appeal bid by UK data watchdog over data-scraping decision

By Frank Hersey ( October 29, 2024, 15:00 GMT | Insight) -- US-based facial recognition company Clearview AI has seen the UK privacy watchdog lodge a fresh challenge to a court ruling that overturned a fine and data processing ban imposed on the company in 2022. Clearview AI won an appeal against the decision last October, and the First-Tier Tribunal refused the Information Commissioner's Office permission to appeal.
