Nippon Paint Holdings to acquire US chemical company AOC for $2.3 billion

( October 28, 2024, 22:48 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Nippon Paint Holdings, the world's fourth-largest paint maker, has agreed to acquire US-based LSF11 A5 TopCo LLC, known as AOC, for $2.3 billion. The acquisition would make AOC Nippon Paint's subsidiary. Based in the US state of Tennessee, AOC is a leading manufacturer of unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester and other solutions used for coating, adhesive and other purposes in the construction and infrastructure industries, and has a strong position in the US and European markets. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals including in India, and Nippon Paint is aiming to close it by June 2025.The statement is attached....
