Super Metais claims lack of prior contact from sanitation-material association in Brazil CADE sham litigation probe

The query is part of an ongoing sham-litigation probe against Asfamas in which Super Metais accuses Asfamas of using technical norms established through its role in the technical secretariat of the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards to later claim non-compliance by smaller market players. In its latest response to a Brazilian competition authority inquiry, Super Metais said the Association for Manufacturers of Sanitation Materials (Asfamas) didn't make any contact with the company regarding quality-test failures prior to lodging a complaint with the Public Prosecutor’s Office....
