Apple plans rollout of some AI services after overcoming EU 'gatekeeper' hurdles

In June, Apple blamed the Digital Markets Act for delaying rollout of AI services, but today it said “many of the core features” of its Apple Intelligence suite would be available for EU users. Apple said EU users of iPhones and iPads will have access to AI-driven services such as a redesigned voice assistant and ChatGPT from next April, signaling it has put to bed earlier concerns over compliance with the EU’s digital gatekeeper law that it blamed for delaying rollout....
