Tereos's bid to keep strategy private in UK merger probe unraveled by court

( October 25, 2024, 17:18 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Tereos has failed in a bid to keep under wraps parts of its business strategy outlined in findings of a UK review of its deal with T&L Sugars from earlier this year, according to a court judgment published today. The company had secured an interim inunction forcing the Competition and Markets Authority to redact parts of its initial review findings, published in April. The Competition Appeal Tribunal has now quashed the injunction, saying saying there is “no valid basis for impugning the CMA’s assessment” that disclosure is necessary and that it outweighs the risk of harm to Tereos from such disclosure.Judgment is attached....
