The Slovak politician also said the EU was determined to defend its interests in a “targeted” and “proportionate” way.With increasing weaponization of trade policy worldwide, the EU’s executive arm will devise an economic security doctrine for a coherent deployment of its defensive trade tools, Maros Šefčovič, Slovakia’s nominee for the EU commissioner for trade and economic security, told lawmakers today....
