South Korean bathroom manufacturers fined $4.8 million for bid rigging

( October 28, 2024, 06:51 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Nine bathroom manufacturers, including Daelim Batos and Hanssem, in South Korea have been fined a total of 6.7 billion won ($4.8 million) by the competition regulator for rigging bids on apartment bathroom construction projects commissioned by construction companies from 2015 to 2022. The Korea Fair Trade Commission revealed that the companies colluded by agreeing in advance on who will submit the winning bid and sharing bidding prices.
