South Korea taps AI, Big Tech to combat personal-data exposure

The regulator's comprehensive plan includes upgrading detection systems with artificial intelligence technology to identify exposed personal information in images and videos, while aiming to reduce content takedown time from 24.8 days to 18.9 days by 2025. The agency also plans to regularly share data with OpenAI, Google and Meta to prevent exposed personal information from being used in AI training, while strengthening crackdowns on repeat offenders who trade personal data and intensifying inspections to prevent data-exposure incidents.The statement, in Korean, is attached....
