Pernod Ricard's buy of Accolade Wines subsidiary cleared by Australian watchdog

( October 25, 2024, 00:24 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Australian winemaking businesses owned by France’s Pernod Ricard will be acquired by Wine HoldCo subsidiary Accolade Wines, after the country’s competition watchdog announced it wouldn’t oppose the transaction. In a statement, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said it believed the deal was unlikely to substantially lessen competition in wine-processing and packaging services, nor was it likely to substantially affect competition in the wholesale supply of wine.
