App developers say opening Google Play Store to competitors could cause harm

( October 24, 2024, 13:50 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Changes to Google Play required under a US court injunction would lead to significant challenges for thousands of small and midsized developers who would be suddenly put in a quasi-contractual relationship with an unknown number of third-party app stores with which they have had no prior contact, according to the App Association. The association asked that a court of appeals stay the injunction pending appeal, saying that if the injunction is overturned, it would be very difficult if not impossible to revert changes and put the Android app marketplace back to its current state.See document below. ...
