Clean Energy Fuels' move on Wesfarmers' EVOL set to proceed, after Australian green light

( October 24, 2024, 01:54 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Clean Energy Fuels Australia’s proposed acquisition of gas-transportation company EVOL, owned by Wesfarmers LNG, has been cleared by Australia’s competition regulator. In an update to its website, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said it wouldn’t oppose the deal, after concluding that the merged entity “would likely be constrained by alternative sources of remote energy generation when agreeing prices and contractual terms for the supply of trucked LNG to customers.
