The European Commission responded by outlining initial ideas for actions that need to be taken as part of the EU "clean industrial deal" for steel and other key sectors. EU lawmakers have called on the European Commission to act fast to protect the EU steel industry against unfairly priced imports from China, India and Indonesia that are flooding the bloc’s market, and for it to tackle the high energy costs faced by EU steel producers....
