Zambarta, Delvaux become new directors at EU Commission's trade unit

( October 22, 2024, 14:01 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Cypriot national Myrto Zambarta has been appointed as director to lead the "multilateral affairs, strategy unit" at the European Commission's trade directorate, the authority said today. In a separate decision, the executive also appointed Léon Delvaux as director for "industry, regulatory cooperation and public procurement" within the same division.  The trade directorate is tasked with implementing the common commercial policy of the EU. The date of effect of these appointments will be determined at a later stage, the office said.
