Connecticut oil trader should get around two years in prison for role in brother's bribery scheme, US says

( October 22, 2024, 13:38 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Gary Oztemel should receive a prison sentence of 21 to 27 months after pleading guilty to his role in a bribery scheme led by his brother, prosecutors said in a memo submitted to a US judge. Oztemel, who owned and led two oil trading companies, pleaded guilty to using his companies for back-to-back trades and pay bribes to Brazilian government officials in exchange for the business.
