Italian healthcare agency gets EUR80,000 fine for breaching GDPR over Covid data

( May 13, 2021, 16:38 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: An Italian healthcare agency, Agenzia di Tutela della Salute della Città Metropolitana di Milano, has been fined 80,000 euros by the national data protection authority for putting at risk health-related data on coronavirus test results. The regulator said the agency's online portal used to process coronavirus test results wasn't equipped with adequate technical and organizational measures to avert the risk of unauthorized access. The agency also failed to respect the principle of data protection by default, the regulator said.The decision is attached (in Italian)....
