Young Heung could lose exemption from steel ropes circumvention duties, EU says

( August 5, 2021, 16:16 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Young Heung Iron & Steel is facing a probe by the European Commission into its entitlement to an exemption from anticircumvention measures imposed on steel ropes and cables. Dumping duties were initially imposed on Chinese imports, but later extended to products shipped from Korea. The commission's partial interim review stems from Young Heung's request to change its name. While looking into the request, the regulator discovered that the Korean exporter had undergone an important reorganization, which included the acquisition of the assets of Dae Heung Industrial, another company that benefited from the exemption.Official Journal Notice follows....
