United Group is subject of Bosnian antitrust investigations, Telekom Srbija says

( August 3, 2021, 16:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Telekom Srbija has said that Bosnia & Herzegovina’s competition authority has opened antitrust investigations into two agreements by subsidiaries of its rival United Group. One involves a deal between United unit Adria News and Turner Broadcasting System Europe that gives United exclusive broadcasting rights for CNN programs in the region, Telekom Srbija said. The other agreement, between United Media and Newsmax Media, allows United to exclusively distribute Newsmax Adria locally, it said. Telekom Srbija, which has filed an antitrust complaint, alleges that the agreements might represent a “cartelization” of the local media market, undermining press freedom and media pluralism.
