Weather Channel, plaintiffs disagree on scope of US privacy case, discovery

( August 4, 2021, 23:08 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Weather Channel and plaintiffs suing the weather forecaster's app service for allegedly using location data for targeting ads instead of forecasting the weather disagree on whether the US suit is significantly different from a suit filed by the city of Los Angeles. TWC says the cases are not substantially different, while plaintiff John Hart said in a court filing that "this litigation involves issues that the LA City Attorney Action did not," meaning that documents TWC produced from the LA case aren't sufficient for the private case.See attached document....
