Seafood harvested by Fijian fishing vessel to be detained at US border

( August 4, 2021, 17:14 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Tuna and other seafood harvested by Hangton No. 112, a fishing vessel based in Fiji, will be withheld by US Customs and Border Protection due to information that "reasonably indicates" the use of forced labor in the vessel's fishing operations. At least three of the International Labour Organization’s 11 indicators of forced labor were found during the CBP investigation: withholding of wages, debt bondage and retention of identity documents.Statement follows below....
