Milestone US Facebook privacy ruling not affected by Supreme Court's TransUnion decision, judge says

( July 15, 2021, 18:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: In an early ruling in the wake of the US Supreme Court's decision in a privacy case involving TransUnion, a federal judge in California has taken a narrow interpretation of the high court's decision, saying it does not invalidate the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit's landmark ruling preserving privacy claims against Facebook's off-network tracking. US District Judge William Shubb dismissed claims against defendant Miniclip, but nevertheless said plaintiff Dereck Mastel did not lose standing to sue because of the TransUnion decision.See document below....
