TravelPass files replies in support of judgments against hotel chains in antitrust case

( July 29, 2021, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: TravelPass told a US judge that its antitrust case against Marriott International, Six Continents Hotels, and Choice Hotels International should be analyzed under the per se standard because it is challenging horizontal agreements among competitors to act together to rig bids, divide markets, and deny it access to relationships it needed to compete. In a reply in support of summary judgment it said, “Defendants’ response asks this court to eviscerate 80 years of antitrust precedent by insisting that the per se standard applies only when a plaintiff can show that Defendants’ conduct is unreasonable in a specific context. But the per se standard exists precisely to avoid imposing this burden.” TravelPass also filed replies in support of judgment against the hotel chains' trademark counterclaims and requests for monetary relief.See documents below. ...
