UST Global España gets EUR3,000 GDPR fine

( July 29, 2021, 16:05 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: UST Global España, an IT consultancy, has received a 3,000-euro fine from Spain’s privacy regulator for breaching Article 5.1(f) of the GDPR. The company included the names and national ID numbers of two employees in an e-mail that was also sent to them. The e-mail was about the provision of services to OpenBank, a subsidiary of Banco Santander, and one of the employees complained to the AEPD. The regulator had originally proposed to fine UST Global 5,000 euros, but decided to reduce the sanction in light of the company’s defense, as well as the measures it took during the investigation to avoid similar incidents.The enforcement document in Spanish is attached....
