App users aren’t informed about how Facebook, Google access data, Bundeskartellamt says

The authority said there is a lack of “intelligible information and clear and simple possibilities of control.” Its president Andreas Mundt said the inquiry shows that app providers must become more transparent and consumer-friendly, and that a discussion should be held on new rules and ways of effective enforcement.Full press release below and the report is attached:...
