US Representative Lofgren proposes amendment blocking FBI searches

( July 26, 2021, 22:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US Democratic Representative Zoe Lofgren is proposing an amendment to an annual federal appropriations bill in the House Rules Committee that would prohibit the Department of Justice from using funds to search an intelligence community database for US persons without first obtaining a warrant. The California Democrat's amendment is co-sponsored by Democrats Pramila Jayapal of Washington and Anna Eshoo of California, as well as Republicans Thomas Massie of Kentucky, Warren Davidson of Ohio, and Victoria Spartz of Indiana. See attached document....
