Conspirator in North Korean cyber heist from banks pleads guilty to US money laundering conspiracy

( July 27, 2021, 16:44 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Ramon "Hushpuppi" Abbas pleaded guilty to conspiracy to launder money for a charge of helping North Koreans move money they allegedly stole from banks through cyber heists, said a plea agreement signed in April and unsealed today in a US district court. Abbas helped the hackers launder the money through US financial institutions between January 2019 and June 2020, the agreement said.See attached plea agreement....
