National Association of Realtors, listing services say US appeals court should affirm dismissal of PLS.com's antitrust claims

( July 26, 2021, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The National Association of Realtors, the California Regional Multiple Listing Service, Midwest Real Estate Data, and Bright MLS told a US appeals court that in trying to enjoin NAR’s clear cooperation policy for its own benefit, PLS.com threatens to reduce listings on local multiple listing services, thus harming millions of home buyers, home sellers, real estate agents, and third parties who rely on the that data. They asked the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit to affirm the dismissal of PLS’s antitrust case. Additionally, they said that PLS is attempting to zoom in on alleged harm to real estate professionals representing a sub-category of sellers who prefer pocket listing services, while ignoring the effects of the policy on real estate professionals overall and the buyers and sellers they represent.See documents below. ...
