Court of Justice: AG Opinion in C-543/09 Deutsche Telekom

( February 17, 2011, 10:41 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: An Advocate General at the ECJ has suggested that, for the purpose of the provision of publicly available directory-enquiry services and directories, member states can require companies that assign telephone numbers to disclose data relating to competitors’ subscribers. Such an obligation could, however, infringe the Universal Services Directive if introduced only in view of a particular number of directory-enquiry services and directories providers.
