International Dairy Foods Association calls for US, EU to resolve trade dispute over US-produced dairy ingredients

( July 26, 2021, 18:03 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) called on the US government and the European Commission (EC) to resolve a regulatory dispute involving the export of American dairy ingredients used to make infant formulas and critical adult nutrition products. According to the IDFA, new EC requirements for American imports require "onerous animal health attestations," and the institution of these new requirements would disrupt supply chains and threaten approximately $600-900 million in annual sales.See statement and document below....
