Aon's Willis Towers Watson divestment commitments are published by New Zealand regulator

( July 12, 2021, 05:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Aon has agreed to divest certain parts of its acquisition target Willis Towers Watson both internationally and in New Zealand specifically to allay competition concerns, the New Zealand competition regulator has announced. According to a summary of the undertakings published today by the Commerce Commission, Aon would divest WTW’s largest commercial-risk broking customers served out of New Zealand, along with “various tangible and intangible assets.” The undertakings would also “ensure that the proposed acquisition would not result in any aggregation in the relevant reinsurance market.” The assets would be sold to Gallagher, a global insurance broking firm that operates as Crombie Lockwood in New Zealand.The New Zealand Commerce Commission's summary of Aon's undertakings is attached. ...
