Bankinter Consumer Finance pays Spanish GDPR fine

( May 16, 2023, 16:43 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Bankinter Consumer Finance has paid a fine of 42,000 euros imposed by the Spanish data protection authority, for violating Article 6 of the EU's General Data Protection Regulation. The bank had illegally processed the personal data of the complainant to issue a duplicate bank card without his or her consent and prior knowledge, the watchdog said. The initial fine amounted to 70,000 euros, but it was reduced after Bankinter agreed to make a voluntary payment.The decision is attached in Spanish. ...
