Nord Stream 2: Germany commits to unbundling, third-party access

The pipeline’s operating company previously applied for an exemption from the EU rules, but this was rejected by Germany’s national energy regulator, a decision it subsequently appealed. The German government made the commitment in a new political agreement with the US on Russia’s future use of Nord Stream 2.
