Vietnam competition commission issues new merger filing form, process

( May 22, 2023, 05:07 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Vietnam's recently established competition commission has issued a new merger filing form and a document outlining the review process. The process begins with the commission checking the submission's completeness and validity within seven working days, with a possible 30-day extension for additional information. Then, a preliminary assessment of factors such as market share and business relationships is carried out within the next 30 days. If deemed necessary, a formal 90-day assessment will follow, extendable by 60 days for complex cases.
