Rabobank moves to dismiss claims in US chicken price-fixing case

( July 21, 2021, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Rabobank told a US judge that while direct actions plaintiffs have added to their price-fixing allegations in their second amended complaint, they have failed to add substance. “Now spanning 38 paragraphs (instead of 13), the crux of the allegations remains the same: as a leading lender to the poultry industry, Rabobank periodically encouraged its poultry clients to restrict the output of broiler chickens. But, as the court explained in dismissing the DAPs’ prior complaint, encouraging lower production is ‘not enough to plausibly establish liability,’ " it said in support of dismissal.See document below. ...
