Add a REPowerEU chapter to recovery & resilience plan, Portugal urges EU Commission

( May 26, 2023, 10:50 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Portugal today asked the European Commission to change its recovery and resilience plan by also including a chapter on RePowerEU, the EU executive said. The proposed chapter includes six reforms and 18 investments which a focus on energy efficiency in buildings, renewables and biogas and sustainable transport, as well as the power grid and green industry. Portugal also wants to see 31 new or scaled-up investments, and the inclusion of five new reforms linked to simplified tax benefit and social benefit systems or circular economy incentives.Statement follows. ...
