UK SFO must bolster management when confiscating criminal assets, government report finds

( July 22, 2021, 08:46 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UK’s Serious Fraud Office must strengthen its use of strategy documents to manage complex proceeds of crime cases, government inspectors have found. Her Majesty's Crown Prosecution Service Inspectorate, or HMCPSI, has released a report that examines both the SFO and the CPS's handling of proceeds-of-crime matters. "There are good practices that the two teams could learn from each other," it said, adding that the CPS's management of casework should be adopted by the SFO to improve its service even further.Statement follows, the report is attached....
