Facebook counsel says company's 'attorney-led' internal probe of third party apps can't be shared with Massachusetts investigators

( October 7, 2019, 00:42 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Stacy Chen, a Facebook associate general counsel, told a Massachusetts state court that the company's records on the data-sharing practices of several million third party apps won't be disclosed to the Massachusetts attorney general because they are shielded by attorney-client privilege. The "attorney-created lists of apps" with potential privacy problems "were done to assist Facebook counsel with providing legal advice to Facebook, minimizing the company's litigation risk, and preparing for litigation against the company," Chen said in a court filing.See attached document....
