Romanian dairy companies fined for obstructing antitrust dawn raids

( May 25, 2023, 13:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Three Romanian dairy companies — Albalact, Covalact and Dorna Lactate — have been fined the equivalent of around 2.9 million euros by the national competition authority, for refusing to give officials access to certain e-mail accounts and correspondence. The watchdog conducted surprise inspections in March, over suspicions of price-fixing agreements on the butter market. The authority imposed fines of around 26,000 euros per day for each day of delay in providing access to the requested information.Statement follows....
